Current Information:Born-Kensington On 10th November, 1915, 6th Royal West Surrey (Queens) of 37 Brigade, 12th Division, moved into the front line from Kaisarin Trench to Point 57 in the Loos sector of the Western Front. They remained there until 13th November during which time the rain was constant and the conditions grew steadily worse. They also had to contend with their trenches being shelled and and grenade attacks at night. Private Fairbank was one of 3 men from 6th Royal West Surrey (Queens) who were killed on 10th November, 1915. |
